Aluminum ash balls can be used as deoxidizers, desulfurizers, and purifiers for steel in ladle refining processes such as converters and electric furnaces. They can also be added with some lime as a refining agent in the LF furnace production process. Adding this product to blast furnace ironmaking can desulfurize and increase aluminum. It is currently a cost-effective product among steelmaking auxiliary materials. The raw material for processing aluminum ash balls is industrial residue aluminum ash. Industrial waste aluminum ash contains a certain amount of metallic aluminum and a large amount of aluminum dioxide. This part of Al2O3 is very different from Al2O3 in bauxite and is in a critical state with strong activity. It is easy to combine with CaO and form a calcium aluminate slag system. It meets the requirements of deoxidation, desulfurization, and slag removal in molten steel, and has a low-cost and high-quality purification effect in domestic steelmaking production.
Aluminum gray ball composition
Al: 10-40, Al2O3: 45-65, SiO2:4-8, MgO: 1-10, particle size: 5-50mm (production can be adjusted according to customer requirements)
Aluminum gray ball characteristics:
1. Good desulfurization and deoxygenation capabilities, with a desulfurization rate greater than 30% during the steelmaking process, and a desulfurization rate of over 70% in the LF refining furnace
2. Rapid production of white slag
3. Uniform composition, fast dissolution, can shorten refining time and improve yield.
Aluminum ash ball deoxidizer in steelmaking production process:
1. Can refine grain size and enhance the fluidity of molten steel. Avoiding the occurrence of nodules, cold shuts, and shrinkage holes (rounded corners, collapsed corners) in castings, the surface of castings is smooth and even after use.
2. It can remove metal inclusions and non-metallic inclusions (harmful substances such as oxides, sulfides, sulfur oxides, silicate compounds, and nitrides) from molten steel. The general steelmaking process is difficult to remove inclusions from the molten steel. If the inclusions cannot be removed, defects such as slag holes, inclusions, cracks, etc. will appear on the castings.
3. Uniform composition, fast dissolution, rapid production of white slag, shortened refining time, and increased yield.
4. Good desulfurization and deoxygenation ability, with a desulfurization rate of over 30% during the steelmaking process, and a desulfurization rate of over 70% in the LF refining furnace.
Usage:
Directly adding LF furnace during the converter steelmaking process can be used as refining slag to add 5-7kg/ton of steel. The role of aluminum ash powder in desulfurization agents and purification of molten steel.
In addition, our company can also customize and produce metallurgical furnace materials of various specifications and indicators according to customer requirements.
