Foam flux is an additive in various forms of steelmaking, which can accelerate the formation rate of slag, have a long foaming time, and significantly reduce the content of sulfur and phosphorus in steel slag. Taking an electric furnace as an example, foaming flux can achieve the following usage effects:
1. The slag forms quickly, has a long foaming time, and good flowability.
2. Strong submerged arc performance, foam slag can bury the arc light as soon as possible, and the heat energy can be increased by 20-30% by making full use of the heat energy; Reducing the radiation of arc light on the furnace body and cover can extend the service life by 30-40%.
3. Significant energy savings, shortened melting time by 20%, saved electricity by 30O-50O/ton of steel, and saved electricity by 5-10%/ton of steel.
4. Improving the quality of steelmaking has a good effect on reducing impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus in steel slag.
5. Increase steelmaking output, eliminate arc pollution, and improve smelting conditions.
Application process:
At the same time as adding materials to the electric furnace before the melting period begins, add the electric furnace steelmaking flux; The electric furnace steelmaking agent can be added to the bottom material after it is laid, or it can be added together with the scrap steel. When adding, the electric furnace steelmaking flux should be placed below the electric furnace to facilitate early melting after the electric arc starts.
There is no need to adjust the original electric furnace smelting process to use this product.
Dosage:
It can be determined based on the carbon content of the electric furnace steelmaking process and the type of steel being smelted. In general, when the carbon content is high and smelting high carbon steel, the amount can be appropriately increased. Suggested ton of steel usage: 5-8kg/ton of steel.
Applicable steel types: Chromium titanium series steel, low-carbon steel, bearing steel and other excellent steel types.
